An exciting opportunity has become available for a high performing individual to join the Engineering & Technology (E&T;) branch of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the role of Senior Project Officer. In the role of Senior Project Officer, you will provide high level support to E&T; business units on a range of financial, corporate and business improvement initiatives. This role undertakes complex contract payments for over 1111 QTRIP projects and 660+ active contracts and provides essential assurance over program and project budgets, contract performance, and payment accuracy, supporting timely delivery and value for money outcomes.

Mandatory requirements:

- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.

Highly desirable requirements:
- Experience in SAP, Excel, PowerBI and other data analysis and reporting tools will also be well regarded.

Requirements of the role:

- Demonstrated experience in financial accounting support.
- Demonstrated experience in using financial systems including SAP and Excel for payments, reporting, analysis and process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team with ability to communicate with various level stakeholders.
