Tech/Functional Business Analyst

- 6-Month Contract
- Approx. $80 per hour (Inclusive of Super)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to support the downstream delivery. This role sits at the centre of coordination across 30+ technology teams and requires strong engagement across solution design, business stakeholders, and testing functions.

The focus is to help drive clarity, alignment, and progress in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Coordination and stakeholder alignment

- Act as a central point of coordination across 30+ downstream technology teams
- Work closely with Project Manager, Solution Architects, Designers, and Tech Leads to ensure alignment on design and delivery
- Engage with Business stakeholders to validate requirements, impacts, and priorities
- Facilitate workshops, working groups, and deep-dive sessions to unblock delivery

Requirements and solution support

- Analyse and document business and technical requirements for Tech systems
- Support solution design discussions, ensuring impacts across downstream systems are understood and captured
- Assist in evaluating solution options (e.g. tactical vs strategic) and articulating trade-offs
- Work with teams to firm up assumptions, dependencies, and scope boundaries

Data analysis and impact assessment

- Support data impact analysis across downstream systems, including data flows and dependencies
- Collaborate with Data Platform and SRDE teams to understand data movement, segregation logic, and impacts
- Identify and document downstream impacts,



including commingled data scenarios and process implications

Risk, dependency and issue management

- Work with tech teams to consolidate impacts and dependencies

Testing and delivery support

- Work with testing teams to ensure transparent understanding of requirements, scope, and expected outcomes
- Ensure alignment between design, build, and testing phases

Program reporting and governance

- Provide structured updates on progress, risks, and blockers
- Maintain artefacts such as requirements, impact assessments, and action trackers

Skills and experience required

- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in large-scale technology or transformation programs
- Strong experience coordinating across multiple technology teams and stakeholders
- Ability to work in complex environments with tight timelines and evolving requirements
- Experience working with Solution Architects and technical delivery teams
- Strong communication and facilitation skills

The Successful candidate:

- Experience in data-led programs, particularly data platforms or warehouse environments

- Exposure to SRDE or similar data distribution/data feed systems
- Basic data analysis skills (data flows, transformations, impact assessment)
- Experience in regulatory or separation/divestment programs
