Crushing & Screening Operator (Loader Experience Required)

- 7:7 Roster
- 12.25 Hour Shifts

South32 GEMCO is seeking experienced and safety-focused Crushing & Screening Operators to join our Concentrator team at Groote Eylandt. This role is suited to candidates with strong fixed plant experience, supported by loader operating capability.

About the Role

As a Crushing & Screening Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of crushing and screening circuits, ensuring consistent throughput and product quality. Loader experience will support feed control, stockpile management, and general plant activities.

What you will be Doing

- Operate and monitor crushing and screening plant in line with site procedures
- Manage plant start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
- Conduct routine inspections, fault finding, and basic maintenance tasks
- Operate loaders (e.g. CAT 966, 980) for feed control and stockpile management
- Maintain housekeeping standards across the plant area
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, and equipment defects

What you will need

- Proven experience in crushing and screening operations within mining or quarry environments
- Demonstrated loader operating experience




- Current Drivers Licence (essential)
- Strong understanding of plant safety systems and isolation procedures
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Solid communication skills and a proactive, safety-first approach
