As Australia’s leading regional media organisation, we offer meaningful careers across metro, regional and rural communities. From journalism and digital innovation to commercial strategy, our people are passionate about work that keeps communities strong, informed, and connected.
About Us
With more than 180 years of history, ACM’s network includes iconic mastheads like The Land, Queensland Country Life, and The Canberra Times. We operate across digital platforms, newspapers, magazines and events.
Our people are united by purpose and driven by impact, delivering trusted local journalism and storytelling that matters to the communities we serve.
About the Role
Joining our ACM Agri division, you will work closely with the editorial and publishing teams to curate, sub-edit, and produce engaging print and digital content. - Curate, edit, and copyfit print pages and special publications while ensuring strict layout deadlines are met.
- Design engaging front pages and graphics, acting as an ACM Agri style champion to deliver error-free copy.
- Repurpose print content for digital platforms including Instagram and Facebook, and assist with breaking national news.
- Manage social media accounts and mobile applications while using performance stats to drive digital plans.
- Represent mastheads publicly and build strong relationships with freelancers, columnists, and rural stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
- Essential:
At least two years of newsroom experience with proven sub-editing, editing, and prioritisation skills.
- Essential: Experience with digital and social media content production and an understanding of digital journalism.
- Essential: A self-starter mindset with strong attention to detail, adaptability, and high communication standards.
