This is a senior Project Manager opportunity for an experienced civil construction leader who has successfully delivered major TMR infrastructure projects and understands what it takes to control projects of genuine scale and complexity.

We are partnering with an established Queensland civil contractor that continues to expand its major infrastructure capabilities across South East Queensland.

With a growing pipeline of TMR-focused road infrastructure projects valued between $40M and $150M, the business is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to take ownership of major project delivery and play a key role in the continued development of its infrastructure division.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will hold responsibility for the overall performance of your project across delivery, commercial, contractual, program, people, and HSEQ outcomes.

The Role

You will lead major civil infrastructure projects from mobilisation through to completion, with responsibility across:

- Overall project planning, programming and delivery

- Commercial performance, forecasting and cost control

- Head contract administration and contractual compliance

- Procurement strategy and subcontractor management

- Leadership of Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors and delivery teams

- TMR stakeholder and client management

- HSEQ performance and project compliance

- Design coordination and constructability reviews

- Risk and chance management

- Project reporting and senior management reviews

- Programme recovery and mitigation strategies where required

This role requires someone who can maintain control of the bigger picture while still understanding the detail driving project performance.

Major Project Delivery

Projects at this level demand more than valuable engineering capability.

You will need to understand how complex TMR projects are staged, resourced and delivered while maintaining control over programme, cost, quality, contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations.





Your responsibilities will include:

- Driving project delivery against key contractual milestones

- Monitoring and protecting project margin

- Maintaining accurate cost-to-complete forecasts

- Managing project cash flow, revenue and financial reporting

- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities early

- Managing variations, claims, notices and contractual entitlements

- Developing and controlling procurement schedules

- Managing major subcontractor and supplier agreements

- Coordinating design reviews and approvals

- Providing practical input into methodology and constructability

- Managing complex interfaces, traffic staging and live-environment constraints

Leadership

You will lead a sizeable multidisciplinary project team and establish clear expectations around performance, accountability and project outcomes.

You will be expected to:

- Build and develop high-performing project teams

- Mentor Project Engineers and emerging project leaders

- Set clear commercial and delivery expectations

- Maintain strong communication between engineering, supervision and commercial teams

- Develop productive relationships with TMR, subcontractors and key stakeholders

- Create a project culture built around accountability, safety and delivery

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong site presence and an ability to make informed decisions quickly.

What We Are Looking For

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

- Minimum 10+ years' civil construction experience

- Proven Project Management experience with a recognised civil contractor





- Strong delivery experience on TMR road infrastructure projects

- Demonstrated experience managing projects in the $40M–$150M range

- Strong commercial and contractual management capability

- Experience managing large project delivery teams

- Detailed understanding of programme management and project controls

- Strong procurement and subcontract management experience

- Experience managing design, approvals and constructability reviews

- Proven ability to manage complex staging and live traffic environments

- Strong client and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to deliver demanding programme, cost, HSEQ and quality outcomes

Previous TMR project delivery experience is essential.
