About the Role:

Echuca Regional Health (ERH) is seeking a GP Registrar to join our Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Team, supporting the delivery of Opioid Replacement Therapy (ORT) and withdrawal services across the Campaspe and Loddon Mallee region.

This unique opportunity offers hands-on experience working with clients experiencing substance use disorders within a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will provide assessment, treatment planning, withdrawal management, pharmacotherapy prescribing, and ongoing care in an outpatient setting. The role utilises a hybrid model of care, allowing services to be delivered both onsite and remotely to meet community needs.

Working alongside an experienced team , you'll gain valuable exposure to addiction medicine while contributing to improved health outcomes for vulnerable members of our community.

Key responsibilities include:

· Assess and review clients seeking Opioid Replacement Therapy (ORT)

· Support the delivery of ERH's Pharmacotherapy Clinic.

· Develop treatment plans and provide ongoing clinical management

· Prescribe and monitor approved pharmacotherapy treatments, including long-acting injectable therapies.





· Collaborate with Addiction Specialists and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive client care

· Participate in case reviews, education sessions and multidisciplinary meetings

· Undertake MATOD (Medically Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence) training with support from ERH.

Qualifications/experience required:

· MBBS or equivalent qualification with eligibility for AHPRA registration

· Enrolled with RACGP program

· Completed or willingness to complete MATOD training

· Demonstrated experience and skill sin medical assessments and clinical management of patents.
