Our operations span aquaculture, harvesting, processing, packaging and distribution, with a strong focus on food safety, product quality, traceability and continuous improvement.

We are seeking an organised and proactive Quality Assurance Administrator to join our Processing Plant team in Griffith, NSW, providing maternity leave coverage.

About the Role

Reporting to site management and working closely with the Quality, Production and WHS functions, the Quality Assurance Administrator will provide hands-on support to maintain our Quality and Food Safety Management Systems within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The primary focus of this position is Quality Assurance and Food Safety, including compliance documentation, production records, traceability, corrective actions, audit preparation and verification activities.

This role would suit someone with previous experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, seafood processing, quality assurance or food safety administration who is comfortable working both in an office environment and on the processing floor.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Food Safety

· Support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the site's Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.

· Review and verify production and quality records to ensure documentation is complete, accurate and compliant.

· Assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of HACCP-based food safety programs.

· Support compliance with applicable food safety standards, customer requirements and regulatory obligations.

· Assist with product traceability, batch records, verification activities and product release documentation.

· Monitor completion of quality checks and escalate non-conformances or incomplete records.

· Support investigation of quality incidents, non-conformances and customer complaints.





· Maintain corrective and preventive action registers and follow up outstanding actions.

· Assist with environmental monitoring, hygiene verification and other food safety programs as required.

· Support allergen, chemical, foreign-material and contamination-control programs.

· Assist with the review and maintenance of cleaning, sanitation and hygiene records.

Auditing & Compliance

· Assist with preparation for internal, customer, regulatory and third-party audits.

· Maintain audit evidence and ensure required documentation is readily available and current.

· Support internal inspections and compliance checks across the Processing Plant.

· Track audit findings, corrective actions and close-out requirements.

· Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant certification and customer standards, including HACCP, BAP, HALAL and other applicable food safety or quality standards.

Document Control & Administration

· Maintain controlled Quality Assurance documents, including procedures, SOPs, forms, registers and work instructions.

· Ensure superseded documents are removed and current versions are available to employees.

· Maintain electronic and hard-copy quality records in accordance with document-control requirements.

· Complete data entry, reporting and analysis of quality and food safety information.

· Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly quality reports and compliance metrics.

Training & Operational Support

· Support employee inductions and training relating to food safety, hygiene, GMP and quality requirements.

· Work closely with Production employees and supervisors to reinforce food safety and quality expectations.





· Assist with maintaining employee training and competency records.

· Provide practical QA support on the production floor and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

· Previous experience in Quality Assurance within food manufacturing, FMCG, seafood, meat, dairy or another high-care food production environment.

· Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety principles.

· Experience maintaining quality systems, records, registers and controlled documentation.

· Solid attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

· Confidence reviewing production records and identifying compliance gaps.

· Valuable written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

· The ability to communicate effectively with production employees, supervisors and management.

· A practical, organised and proactive approach to problem solving.

· The ability to work independently while contributing to a broader operational team.

Qualifications or training in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, HACCP or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
