Your opportunity
As an Assisted Living Services Team Member, you'll build trusted relationships with residents and play an important role in supporting their wellbeing within ECH Assisted Living Villages. Through domestic assistance, food services, resident engagement and wellbeing monitoring, you'll help create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where residents can continue to live semi independently and enjoy a high quality of life.
You’ll make an impact by
- Building genuine relationships with residents and support their wellbeing through meaningful interaction, observation and respectful engagement.
- Monitoring and maintaining food safety controls and practices to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, organisational policies and food safety standards.
- Providing domestic assistance and housekeeping services that help residents maintain a safe and comfortable living workplace.
- Preparing, serving and supporting food services while promoting positive dining experiences for residents.
- Maintaining communal areas to a high standard of cleanliness, safety and presentation.
- Responding to resident and family enquiries and feedback with empathy and professionalism and promptly escalating concerns when required.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance, safety and wellbeing concerns to support high-quality service delivery.
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence.
- The ability to perform domestic cleaning and food service duties.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with older people, families and colleagues while contributing to a welcoming and inclusive community.
- We would also love you to bring the following skills:
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, Food Handling qualification or experience working within a food service environment.
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, Leisure and Health, or a related qualification.
- Experience in aged care, retirement living or community services.
- Strong customer service and administration skills.
- A caring, respectful and professional approach that places residents at the centre of every interaction and promotes resident dignity, independence, choice and quality of life.
- The ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team environment
