Key Responsibilities

- Lead the daily operations of the facility kitchen and meal services
- Ensure all meals meet nutritional, dietary, allergen, and texture requirements
- Maintain high standards in food quality, presentation, and service delivery
- Oversee menu planning, food ordering, and stock control
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, HACCP, and WHS requirements
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff,



fostering a high-performing team culture
- Monitor resident satisfaction and implement continuous improvements
- Collaborate with management to optimise productivity and service delivery

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III or IV in Catering or Commercial Cookery
- Food Safety Supervisor certification
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety compliance
- Proven leadership and team management experience

Key Skills & Attributes

- Excellent cooking and menu planning skills
- Understanding of the nutritional needs of older people
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
- Calm under pressure with solid problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Desirable

- Experience in aged care or similar environments
- Experience managing small kitchen teams
