Your Role as People & Culture Business Partner
You will create meaningful business outcomes through people by partnering with leaders to develop organisational capability, enable workforce performance and foster a positive and values-driven culture.
The role provides trusted strategic and operational people advice across the employee lifecycle, supporting leaders to make informed people decisions, manage risk, build leadership capability and implement workforce initiatives that align with organisational priorities. Through collaboration, influence and continuous improvement, the role helps create an engaged workforce, strong employee experiences and sustainable organisational performance.

What We’re Looking For
- Relevant HR, or equivalent tertiary qualifications with previous experience working in a HRBP or Specialist role with exposure to strategic and operational responsibilities.
- Must have previous 5 years’ experience as a generalist role or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience providing strategic and operational HR advice across the employee lifecycle,
including employee relations, performance, organisational change and workforce initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and HR best practice.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and partner with leaders to achieve business outcomes.
- Experience managing complex employee relations matters, including grievances, investigations and workplace disputes.
- Strong communication, coaching and facilitation skills, with the ability to deliver practical and solution-focused advice.
- Ability to use workforce data and insights to identify trends, inform decision-making and support continuous improvement.
- Experience supporting organisational change, leadership capability development and the implementation of people strategies.
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach with a commitment to organisational values, employee experience and service excellence.
A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable
Essential Requirements
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
- Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
