Cleanworks Australia is seeking 2 experienced Leading Hand Cleaners to join our team, responsible for supervising and supporting a cleaning team across school sites in the northern suburbs.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality commercial cleaning standards while supporting and guiding a team to achieve excellent results.
You will play a key role in ensuring school facilities are maintained to a high standard, providing clean, safe and welcoming environments for students, staff and visitors.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Leading and supervising a team of commercial cleaners
- Allocating daily cleaning tasks and ensuring completion to required standards
- Conducting quality checks and providing feedback and support to team members
- Training and assisting new team members with cleaning procedures and site requirements
- Maintaining strong communication with management and site contacts
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, staff areas and common spaces
- Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and amenities
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces
- Managing consumables, equipment and reporting maintenance issues
- Ensuring workplace health and safety procedures are followed
- Supporting school holiday cleaning requirements when required

✅ About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous school cleaning experience
- Experience leading or supervising a cleaning team (highly regarded)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- The ability to communicate effectively and support team members
- Valuable organisational skills and the ability to manage daily priorities
- A reliable and professional approach
- Experience in school or education facility cleaning (highly regarded)
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable access to your own vehicle
- Availability to work during school holiday cleaning periods
