With over 60 years experience in the market and boasting a reputation for excellence, the organisation is seeking a talented payroll professional to provide support in a long service leave project.
The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for managing superannuation reconciliations, investigating exceptions and ensuring contributions are processed accurately and on time. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, payroll teams, superannuation funds and external providers to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing regular reconciliations between payroll systems, clearing houses and superannuation funds
- Investigating and resolving rejected superannuation contributions
- Managing superannuation enquiries and maintaining a shared inbox
- Liaising with employees, payroll providers and superannuation funds to resolve issues
- Identifying, investigating and resolving reconciliation variances
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation for audit purposes
- Escalating complex issues and contributing to process improvements
- Supporting compliance with relevant payroll and superannuation legislation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Previous experience within payroll, superannuation administration or payroll compliance
- Strong reconciliation and investigative skills
- High attention to detail and an analytical approach to problem solving
- Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to strict deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of Australian payroll and superannuation legislation
