About the role
This is a permanent full-time role in the Library Services team, based at Batemans Bay. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the library leadership team and overseeing and facilitating programs, staff and services at the Batemans Bay library, in line with the Library Services Strategic Plan.
The starting salary for this position is $81,151.04 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.

You are a qualified library professional with a passion for delivering engaging, inclusive programs and outstanding customer service. Experienced in community engagement, reader education and outreach, you enjoy connecting people with information, learning opportunities and library services. With strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for working with the public, you build positive relationships with customers, community groups and partner organisations.
You are an effective leader with experience supervising and developing staff, coordinating day-to-day operations and fostering a collaborative team environment. Organised, adaptable and solutions-focused, you can manage competing priorities while maintaining high service standards and driving innovative outcomes that benefit the community. Screening process
Pre‑employment Checks:
As part of our recruitment process, you may be asked to provide contact details for two work‑related referees. These will be collected at the interview stage. At least one referee should be your current supervisor or a recent past supervisor (of at least three months).
Depending on the position, successful applicants may also be required to complete a Criminal History Check, Medical Assessment and/or a Working with Children Check.
