Maitland Hospital is urgently seeking a Locum General Medicine SRMO to support overnight medical coverage.
This role is suited to a doctor with recent General Medicine experience who is confident working night shifts, reviewing ward patients, completing clinical documentation and escalating concerns appropriately when required.
This is an urgent placement offering a crisis rate of $250 per hour.
Clinical Environment:
General Medicine SRMO role
Night shift cover, generally 22:30 – 08:30
Ward-based medical support and patient reviews
Supportive hospital environment with escalation pathways available
Suitable for doctors with recent General Medicine experience
Key Duties:
Review and manage General Medicine patients
Support overnight ward-based care
Complete clinical documentation and handover
Escalate patient concerns appropriately
Work collaboratively with nursing, allied health and medical teams
Eligibility Criteria:
Current AHPRA Registration
Recent General Medicine experience at SRMO level
Robust communication and clinical documentation skills
Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately
Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
