About Recovr

Recovr is retention intelligence for fitness businesses. We catch silent churn before it happens. Our AI scores every member's risk of leaving, then hands staff a daily action list: who to talk to today, and what to say. Not another dashboard.

We are a funded, fast growing startup with offices in Sydney and Adelaide. We work with boutique studios, big box gyms and franchise networks across Australia, Asia and the US, we are signing current sites every month, and there is more demand than we can currently build for. Small team, real product, real revenue.

The role

You'll be our Technical Lead, working alongside the CTO. It is hands-on. You'll write code every week, set the standards, review the team's work, mentor the developers, and help decide what we build next. You will also be central to growing the team, with a real say in who we hire. You are joining early enough to shape how this team works as it grows.

This is an in-office role, five days a week, at our Sydney CBD office. Our engineers are spread across both offices and beyond, so you'll lead in person and at a distance.

What we need

• Strong production experience with TypeScript and Node

• Real depth with SQL and Postgres





• You use AI coding tools daily and have earned opinions about how valuable they are, and about how important building software factories will be. This one is not negotiable.

• You have led or mentored developers, with or without the title

• You have owned systems in production, not just shipped features

• You are comfortable with the pace and the ambiguity of a growing startup

We build in TypeScript across the stack, React on the front end, Postgres behind it. You do not need to have used every tool we run. The rest is learnable.

Nice to have

• Multi-tenant SaaS experience

• Integration heavy work, where other people's APIs break and you own the fallout

• Experience at a genuinely small or early stage company

• An interest in fitness, or in the industry we sell to
