About the Role

As an Emergency Department Registrar, you'll play an integral role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical, surgical, paediatric, and trauma conditions. Working alongside experienced Emergency Physicians, junior doctors, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to timely, patient-centred emergency care.

This role is suitable for doctors seeking flexible locum work while continuing to develop their emergency medicine skills within a large metropolitan health district.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess, investigate and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
- Provide safe, evidence-based clinical care across a broad range of emergency presentations.
- Perform emergency procedures appropriate to your level of experience.
- Participate in patient handover and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Escalate complex cases appropriately and work closely with senior medical staff.




- Maintain accurate, comprehensive clinical documentation.

Requirements

- Current General AHPRA Registration.
- Previous experience working within an Australian Emergency Department at Registrar level.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication, clinical decision-making and teamwork skills.
- Australian working rights.

Pay Rate

- $100–$180 per hour, depending on shift type, experience, and other relevant factors.
