About the role
The Payroll Officer is responsible for effective management of the Payroll function of the Banking & Finance sector.
This position is responsible for preparation and salary / Super payment and maintenance of related records, in a timely manner and in line with relevant taxation, legislative and audit requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Calculate and process employee entitlements including wages, superannuation contributions and employee benefits in accordance with awards and enterprise agreements
- Liaise with employees and managers regarding payroll queries and employment-related matters
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information
- Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and processes
- Processing recent employees, terminations & statutory related payments etc
- Reconcile payroll, payroll tax, insurance and authorized payroll deduction
- Calculate and maintain leave entitlement
- Provide reports to management as required to satisfy the payroll related information requests of the department
- Any adhoc duties / project assigned via department
Requirements
- Meridian mircopay experience is A MUST
- A minimum of 2 years local related end to end payroll experience
- Fluency in English & Mandarin communication skills at all level
- Bachelor qualification and above
- Good team player and attention to details
- Able to meet the deadlines at all time & good time management
