Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

VCAT

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including residential tenancies, planning and environment disputes, consumer and building matters, guardianship and administration, professional regulation and human rights. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced analytics leader to drive our enterprise analytics, business intelligence and Microsoft Fabric implementation, delivering innovative data solutions that enable evidence-based decision-making, improve organisational performance monitoring and support better justice outcomes for the Victorian community.

You will be responsible for:

- supporting the development and implementation of VCAT's analytics and reporting roadmap




- leading the design and delivery of enterprise reporting, dashboards, semantic models and anlaytics solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- developing and maintaining dimensional data models using best-practice architecture principles
- collaborating with platform, engineering and DevOps teams to support scalable analytics delivery practices
- driving enterprise-wide analytics maturity, data literacy, and self-service reporting capabilities

This role is fixed term for a period of 12 months

About You

If you're passionate about leading high-performing analytics capability, influencing strategic outcomes and mentoring technical teams, we'd like to hear from you.

You will have:

- proven and considerable experience in analytics, business intelligence, performance reporting and data engineering
- moderate Python skills for analytics, automation and data engineering activities
- experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar contemporary cloud analytics platforms (eg. Snowflake or Databricks)
- expertise leading enterprise analytics, reporting and business intelligence initiatives within a complex organisation
- well developed skills in formulating complex and dimensional data models

Qualifications

A tertiary qualification in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science Engineering or related discipline
