An exciting chance has become available for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a leading organisation at a significant stage of growth.
Working within a new hospital environment in Frankston, this is a hands-on HR Business Partner role where you will have the opportunity to shape HR operations, partner closely with leaders and help establish a strong people culture from the ground up.
You'll work closely with operational leaders across a diverse, fast-paced workforce, providing trusted HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle.
The Role
Reporting to the senior HR manager, you will act as a trusted HR partner to managers and leaders, providing practical advice across a broad range of employee and industrial matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide trusted HR advice and coaching to managers across the full employee lifecycle.
- Manage and support complex employee relations matters, including investigations, complaints, performance management and disciplinary processes.
- Coach and mentor managers to build their confidence and capability in people management.
- Provide advice and support in relation to industrial and union matters.
- Partner with leaders on performance reviews, employee engagement and workforce planning.
- Support recruitment and talent attraction strategies, helping to build strong talent pipelines.
- Oversee HR administration, compliance activities, audits and people processes.
- Provide guidance and support across workers' compensation and injury management matters.
- Assist with training coordination and initiatives that build workforce capability.
- Support health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the site.
- Maintain accurate employee records and utilise HR systems to ensure effective people management and reporting.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives aligned with broader business objectives.
About You
We're looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working closely with operational leaders and thrives in a fast-paced workplace.
You will ideally bring:
- 5+ years' experience in a generalist HR / HR Business Partnering capacity.
- Strong experience across employee relations, performance management and HR advisory.
- Proven ability to coach and influence managers at all levels.
- Experience working within a complex, operational or blue-collar workforce.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline are highly desirable.
- Experience within a healthcare or hospital environment will be highly regarded.
You will also be required to successfully obtain a National Police Check and provide evidence of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases.
