POSITION

We have a full-time position for a Forklift Driver available in Bungalow, 4870

SKILLS

The role requires you to have a high-risk forklift licence, at least a relevant AQF Cert II or equivalent, and at least one year of relevant work experience. If you don’t hold a relevant formal qualification, at least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts to load, unload, move and store goods, receiving and picking stock, preparing and packing orders, maintaining accurate shipment records, checking stock for damage or discrepancies, and ensuring a clean, organised and safe warehouse in compliance with workplace safety procedures.

TASKS

- The position will require you to perform the following tasks.
- Safely operate forklifts to minimise the risk of injury and property damage.
- Maintain a safe workplace, safe loading practices and ensure forklift procedures are adhered to for every vehicle that is loaded/unloaded.
- Maintain clean, neat, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
- Receive incoming stock, store items in designated locations, conduct inventory checks, and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.




- Inspect picked items to ensure they are correct and free from damage.
- Pack, seal, and label goods and shipping containers appropriately.
- Verify order accuracy and complete or sign relevant picking and shipping documentation.
- Place containers on pallets, and secure with stretch wrap, shrink wrap and strapping.
- Ensure correct shipping information is attached and move completed orders to the shipping area.
- Move completed orders to designated staging or shipping areas.
- Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other appropriate material-handling equipment.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security and ensuring stock and equipment are stored safely and securely.

ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES

- Previous experience in the transport, freight, logistics or food industry.
- Experience handling palletised and general freight.
- Robust commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Reliable work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $70,000 to $80,000 per annum, negotiated based on your experience.
