About the Role
Join a prominent Queensland State Government department responsible for delivering essential construction, maintenance, and facility upgrades across public infrastructure. As a Senior Supervisor, you will lead on-site execution, driving high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. You will manage a diverse workforce, combining internal field staff, apprentices, and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily site operations, managing trade staff and subcontractors to ensure high-quality workmanship, timeline adherence, and active performance management.
- Guide, train, and support apprentices on-site to build practical capability and uphold trade standards.
- Read plans, conduct site take-offs, and assist in preparing accurate cost estimates, scopes of work, and project quotations.
- Proactively enforce site safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and drive zero-harm compliance across all active work areas.
- Maintain site logs, coordinate materials, track project milestones, and manage reporting using digital tools and MS Office.

What We're Looking For

- Recognised trade qualification (e.g., Carpentry, Building, Plumbing, Electrical, or related trades) with substantial hands-on site experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-trade field teams, managing subcontractors, and developing apprentices.
- Practical ability to interpret drawings, measure material take-offs, and prepare accurate job quotes.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills across MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and contemporary site reporting applications.




- Clear written and verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with trades, project managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Current valid Australian C-Class Driver Licence.
