Hunter Manning is recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant on behalf of our client, who are seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to support their accounting function for an ongoing temporary chance with potential to become permanent for the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Support month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Assist with Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, payment runs and supplier reconciliations
- Assist with Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, allocations and account reconciliations
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare and lodge BAS and other statutory reporting requirements
- Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation journals
- Investigate and resolve AP, AR and GL variances
- Provide general accounting support,
including financial reporting and audit requirements

Requirements
- CPA/CA qualified, part-qualified, or actively studying towards
- Proven experience in an AP/AR or accounts role, with exposure to month-end processes
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIFS)
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with reconciliations
- Clear communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Full Australian working rights and based in Perth, WA.
