About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join our friendly, collaborative team within our Southport office.

As a Graduate Accountant you'll work alongside experienced professionals to deliver high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services to a diverse client base. This is an excellent opportunity to build your technical skills, gain hands-on experience and develop a robust foundation for a successful career in public practice.

Working closely with Managers and senior team members,



you'll be involved in a variety of client and compliance work while receiving ongoing training, mentorship and support.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns with support from senior team members.

- Assisting with Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).

- Supporting tax compliance and learning how to apply Australian tax legislation in practice.

- Assisting with tax planning activities through data gathering and preliminary analysis.

- Supporting lodgement processes and liaising with the ATO.

- Preparing client correspondence and supporting client meetings.

- Managing assigned tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.

- Contributing to a collaborative team environment and actively seeking feedback.

- Participating in training, development programs and ongoing learning opportunities.

About You

You're a recent accounting graduate, or in the final stages of completing your degree, and are looking to kick-start your career in a supportive and professional environment. You're eager to learn, enjoy working as part of a team and are motivated to develop both your technical and client service skills.

You'll bring:





- A degree in Accounting or a related discipline, or be nearing completion.

- A foundational understanding of Australian tax legislation.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

- Exposure to accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks (desirable).

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- A proactive approach to learning and professional development.

- The ability to take responsibility for your work and manage competing priorities.
