Hardchrome Sales is looking for an experienced and capable Manual Machinist to join our team in Welshpool.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on machinist who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is confident working across multiple machining disciplines.
The Role
You will be working on a varied range of machining and repair work, using traditional manual machinery and equipment. We are looking for someone who can work independently, solve problems, and consistently produce high-quality results.
Your experience will ideally include:
- Operating manual lathes
- Operating manual milling machines
- Working with large grinders
- General fitting, machining and workshop duties
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Measuring and checking finished components to specification
- Working across a variety of machining and repair applications
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a machinist with strong practical skills and a broad range of workshop experience.
You will ideally be:
- Experienced in manual machining
- Competent across multiple machining disciplines
- Confident working with large components
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Quality-focused with a strong eye for detail

- A practical problem solver with a "get it done" attitude
