Electrical Tradesperson | Power Generation | Alice Springs
Looking for a hands-on Electrical Tradesperson seeking a unique chance in the Northern Territory. Join a critical power generation facility in Alice Springs and play a key role in maintaining and improving essential generation assets that keep communities powered.
The Opportunity
Working within a highly skilled Operations & Maintenance team, you will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding, commissioning activities and plant reliability across electrical and instrumentation systems associated with major power generation equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform reactive, preventative and predictive electrical maintenance.
- Fault find and repair complex electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Support commissioning, testing and modification of critical plant equipment.
- Maintain and service diesel, gas and power generation assets.
- Complete technical reports, maintenance records and system documentation.
- Supervise contractors and manage permit-to-work requirements.
- Participate in an on-call roster and occasional travel to other sites.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- Unrestricted Electrical Mechanic Licence (or ability to obtain NT equivalent).
- Experience fault finding on complex electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of permit-to-work and isolation procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Good computer literacy and record-keeping skills.
- Current driver's licence or ability to obtain an NT licence.
Highly Regarded
- Experience within power generation, utilities, mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial environments.
- Exposure to gas, diesel or renewable energy generation assets.
- High Risk Licences including Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights or Confined Space.
- Hazardous Area electrical certification and/or Senior First Aid.
