BVN is inviting expressions of interest from exceptional Architects with strong healthcare experience and a genuine passion for architectural design and innovation to join our BVN Brisbane team. This is an important role and the emphasis is on finding an Architect first — someone with strong architectural thinking, design capability and strategic vision, combined with a deep understanding of healthcare and an interest in shaping the future of healthcare environments. This is an exciting and dynamic position that requires versatile, adept and experienced individuals to significantly contribute to key projects at BVN.

Our experience in multi-sector design comes to the forefront as we approach the way health facilities are designed and considered. For example, our experience in designing educational facilities and workplaces have influenced and are paramount in the delivery of innovative and highly successful health care design.

Requirements of the role

- Broadly skilled and combine Architectural thinking + Healthcare expertise + Innovation + Leadership.
- Be able to design, think strategically, lead teams, engage clients and contribute to the evolution and growth of our healthcare portfolio (i.e. be broadly skilled rather than focused primarily on healthcare planning and / or project management).
- Strong architectural design capability and architectural thinking, with the ability to develop a clear design vision from strategic planning through to delivery.




- Significant experience working on healthcare projects across the full project phases — from master planning and concept design through to detailed design, documentation, and construction.
- Demonstrated interest in innovative healthcare design and emerging models of care, with the ability to challenge conventional approaches and develop new ideas.
- Ability to translate complex clinical, operational and stakeholder requirements into strong architectural outcomes.
- Good understanding of healthcare planning, relevant guidelines, and standards, while maintaining a strong focus on architectural quality and design.
- Ability to provide design leadership and lead architectural teams on complex projects.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to see the bigger picture beyond an individual project.
- Ability to contribute to the development and growth of the health portfolio, including client relationships, business development, and current opportunities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage with clients, clinicians, consultants, and senior stakeholders.
- Passionate about design, innovation, healthcare, and the future of the built environment.

Qualifications

- Master of Architecture or equivalent (with a minimum of 10 years post graduate professional experience).
