About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering custom‑made building materials and components to job sites across Melbourne. The position involves loading, unloading, navigating site access and coordinating with on‑site personnel to ensure smooth and safe deliveries.
This is a physically active role suited to someone who is dependable, professional and enjoys working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport and unload materials and components
- Complete deliveries on time and in excellent condition
- Assess site access and coordinate with on‑site teams
- Carry out routine vehicle safety checks
- Secure loads safely to prevent movement or damage
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain signatures
- Communicate with the office regarding delivery times and delays
- Manually unload materials and deliver into units
- Stack materials neatly and safely
- Follow all road and company safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Previous delivery driving experience (construction or manufacturing a bonus)
- Ability to handle large or heavy materials safely
- Strong understanding of road safety and load management
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit for manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Ability to assess site access for safe unloading
