What you'll be doing?
- Conducting workplace assessments — Carry out thorough occupational hygiene assessments and surveys in line with relevant standards and regulations, helping to identify and address potential hazards in the workplace.
- Sampling and analysis — Collect and analyse samples of air, water, and other substances to evaluate health risks to workers, playing a key role in evidence-based decision-making.
- Expert advisory — Provide specialist guidance on the design and implementation of control measures, helping clients effectively minimise occupational hazards and protect their workforce.
- Training and education — Develop and deliver engaging training programs on occupational hygiene practices and protocols, empowering teams with the knowledge to stay safe at work.
- Client collaboration — Partner with clients to build practical, effective strategies for managing occupational health risks, fostering solid and lasting professional relationships.
- Staying current — Keep up to date with emerging trends, current technologies, and regulatory changes in occupational hygiene, ensuring advice and services always reflect best practice.
Who are they looking for?
- AIOH accreditation — Accreditation with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) is required, demonstrating a recognised standard of professional competence in the field.
- Relevant qualifications — A Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational hygiene, environmental science, or a related discipline forms the foundation for success in this role.
- Professional experience — A minimum of 2 years of experience in an occupational hygienist role, with a demonstrated track record of managing complex projects, is required to hit the ground running.
