Hunter Homes is looking for a Junior Colour Consultant & Assistant to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for interior design, colour, finishes and creating beautiful homes, but is looking to gain hands-on experience within the residential building industry.

Initially, the role will focus on providing administrative and operational support to our Colour Consultants, learning our products, processes and systems, and gaining an understanding of the client selections journey. As your knowledge, confidence and experience develop, there will be an opportunity to progress into completing colour appointments and progression in the Junior Colour Consultant field.

About the Role
Working alongside our experienced Colour Consultants, you will assist with the day-to-day administration and coordination of client selections while developing your knowledge of colour, finishes, products and residential design.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing administrative support to the Colour Consultants.

- Contact clients by phone to arrange and schedule colour selection appointments.

- Preparing and maintaining client selection documentation and colour schedules.

- Updating client selections and information within Company systems.

- Preparing samples, materials and documentation for client appointments.

- Assisting with organising and maintaining the colour studio and sample library.

- Liaising with suppliers regarding samples, products, availability and lead times.

- Assisting with product and pricing updates.

- Preparing information and documentation for client selections appointments.

- Assisting with follow-up actions from client appointments.

- Checking selections for accuracy and ensuring information is correctly recorded.

- Liaising with internal teams including Client Liaison, Estimating, Drafting and Construction.

- Assisting the Colour Consultants with general administrative tasks and coordination.





- Developing knowledge of the Company's product range, inclusions and upgrades.

- Learning about colour combinations, finishes, materials and current interior design trends.

Your Development
This role provides a structured opportunity to learn the Colour Consultant role from the ground up.

You will work with experienced Colour Consultants, gradually developing your knowledge and confidence in:

- Colour selection and coordination.

- Interior design principles.

- Building materials and finishes.

- Client consultation techniques.

- Product knowledge.

- Residential building processes.

- Preparing and presenting colour schemes.

About You
We are looking for someone who:

- Has a genuine passion for interiors, colour and design.

- Has excellent attention to detail and enjoys administration.

- Is confident using computers and learning new systems.

- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Is professional, friendly and customer focused.

- Is eager to learn and develop a career within the building and design industry.

- Enjoys working as part of a team.

- Has a creative eye and an interest in current interior design trends.

Previous experience in administration, customer service, interior design, retail, selections or the building industry will be highly regarded.

A qualification or study in Interior Design, Interior Decoration or a related field would also be highly regarded.
