I’m looking for a BIM Lead for a global engineering consultancy working across complex building services projects, including hyperscale data centres.
The key with this one is they don’t want an arms-length BIM Manager. They want someone experienced enough to lead BIM delivery, but who still enjoys being properly involved in the project delivery.
You’ll be hands-on with Revit, model coordination, clash detection, QA/QC and project delivery, while also taking responsibility for the bigger picture: project setup, BIM Execution Plans, workflows, standards, model management and coordinating a global design team.
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong hands-on Revit experience within building services
- Experience setting up and managing multidisciplinary models
- Good knowledge of BEPs and ISO 19650
- Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud experience
- Experience coordinating BIM resources across multiple projects
- A good understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Fire services
You can come from any building services discipline. What matters is being able to understand how all the services come together.
Data centre experience gets bonus points. If you don’t have it, that’s completely fine.
Could suit a strong Senior Modeller or Lead Modeller looking for more ownership, or an experienced BIM Manager who misses actually being involved in delivery (or who wants to crack the Data Centre industry).
The company itself is a big part of the appeal too. Excellent people, genuinely flexible, inclusive and collaborative, without the overly corporate feel you can get at some global consultancies.
