Your impact
As our Business Support Lead, you will be responsible for the leadership, performance, and continuous improvement of business support services across Transdev John Holland Buses Region 9.
Reporting to the Head of Performance and Planning, you'll lead a team of Business Support Administrators while providing high-level operational and administrative support across the business. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficient delivery of business support functions, driving service excellence, coordinating key administrative activities, and supporting the achievement of organisational objectives.
Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams, employees, suppliers, and external stakeholders, you'll help create an environment where people can focus on delivering exceptional public transport services while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
This role is based within Region 9 (Port Botany, Randwick and Waverley)
What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of five Business Support Administrators, fostering a high-performing and customer-focused culture.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Head of Performance and Planning and senior leaders across the business.
- Drive service excellence, consistency, and continuous improvement across business support functions.
- Manage procurement and inventory activities, including uniforms, stationery, equipment, staff identification cards, and operational resources.
- Oversee financial and procurement administration,
including purchase orders, invoice processing, vendor maintenance, and compliance with procurement processes
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, meetings, workshops, presentations, and business events across the organisation.
- Manage and maintain business systems and databases, ensuring information remains accurate, accessible, and compliant.
- Coordinate CCTV footage requests and liaise with authorised external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies when required.
- Support business leaders in monitoring contractual obligations and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Act as a central point of contact for business support enquiries, facilities coordination, and business improvement initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and improve administrative processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service delivery outcomes.
- Prepare executive-quality reports, presentations, correspondence, and business documentation for senior stakeholders.
What you bring
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience leading and developing a team.
- Experience in business support, office management, executive administration, operations support, or a similar leadership role.
- Advanced administrative capability, including preparation of executive reports, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Transport, Administration, or a related discipline are desirable.
- Experience using business systems such as SAP, Infor, Maximo, or Microsoft Dynamics AX is highly regarded.
