Your Role
Applications are now invited from qualified educators for the position ofKindergarten Assistant (Inclusion Support) to support Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Kindergarten, Springsure .
This is a term-time contract position for 15 hours per week (5 day fortnight, Tuesday, Wednesday and alternate Thursday), commencing as soon as possible (or as negotiated with the successful applicant) until 4 December 2026. This position reports directly to the Kindergarten Director or person appointed to be responsible for the centre. Other key relationships include children, families and the Early Learning & Care Manager.
As a Kindergarten Assistant (Inclusion Support) you will play a vital role in supporting kindergarten teachers and students in their learning journey. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and resource organisation
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, including students with additional needs.
- Monitoring student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers
- Assisting with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and organising educational materials.
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals who is passionate about education and working with students.

Experience in a similar role or working with children is desirable but not essential. We value individuals who are committed to continuous growth and are eager to learn and contribute to our educational communities.
- Competitive salary range - $28.81 to $42.60 per hour; (NB. pending qualifications; age based salary rates apply if under 21)

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act)
and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
- A minimumCert III in Children’s Services (or working towards)or equivalent is required. A Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent (ACECQA approved qualifications) is preferred.
- First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Training (ACECQA approved
- Completion of National Child Protection and Child Safety Training via Geccko platform:
- Foundation of Child Safety Training must be completed prior to commencement
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
