About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team on a full-time basis in Adelaide, South Australia .

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate civil and structural engineering drawings, plans and technical documentation, developing detailed 2D and 3D models, and providing drafting support to engineering and construction activities.

You will work closely with engineers, project managers, construction personnel, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure drawings and technical documentation accurately reflect project requirements and can be effectively implemented during construction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed civil and structural engineering drawings, plans, layouts and construction documentation.
2. Develop and maintain accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using Revit, Tekla or equivalent modelling software.
3. Interpret engineering designs, specifications,



surveys and project requirements and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
4. Prepare drawings and documentation for civil construction, structural works, temporary works and associated infrastructure.
5. Assist engineers with design development, drawing revisions and technical documentation.
6. Produce detailed drawings suitable for construction and fabrication in accordance with engineering requirements and project specifications.
7. Incorporate design changes and amendments while maintaining drawing accuracy and document control.
8. Assist with construction staging modelling and basic lift-planning documentation where required.
9. Assist in the preparation and documentation of engineering temporary works.
10. Apply practical knowledge of materials handling, particularly concrete and quarry-related operations, to drafting and design activities.
11. Liaise with engineers, project managers, site personnel, contractors and other stakeholders to clarify technical and drafting requirements.
12. Review drawings and models for accuracy, consistency, constructability and compliance.
13. Maintain organized drawing registers, revisions and technical documentation.
14. Ensure drafting and design work complies with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, codes of practice, project specifications and company procedures.
15. Provide ongoing technical drafting support throughout project planning, construction and completion.

Essential Requirements

1. Diploma of Civil Construction Design, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), or equivalent qualification.
2.



Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in civil engineering drafting and design.
3. Highly proficient in Revit, Tekla or equivalent 3D modelling software .
4. Strong technical drafting and design capability across civil and structural projects.
5. Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of technical accuracy.
6. Knowledge of, or ability to quickly develop knowledge of, materials handling, particularly concrete and quarry operations.
7. Knowledge of construction staging modelling and basic lift planning.
8. Understanding of engineering temporary works.
9. Practical knowledge of regulatory governance, legislative requirements, codes of practice and compliance requirements.
10. Current Australian driver's licence.
11. Construction Industry White Card, or ability to obtain.
12. Current Australian working rights.

Desirable

1. 5+ years' relevant civil or structural drafting experience.
2. Experience in civil construction or engineering project environments.
3. Practical understanding of construction processes and project delivery.
4. Experience working closely with engineers, contractors and construction teams.
5. Knowledge of Australian engineering and construction documentation standards.
