We are seeking a dedicated and highly engaging Media Teacher to join our College. This is a full‑time, 12‑month fixed term position commencing Term 1, 2027 (replacing a staff member on leave). The role reports to the Head of Learning Area – The Arts and involves inspiring students to think critically, create confidently and engage with an ever‑evolving media landscape.
Responsibilities
- The ability to teach lower school Media to students in years 7 – 10.
- The ability to teach Media – General to year 11 and 12 students would be advantageous.
- The ability to teach Digital Technologies and or another subject area would be advantageous.
- The ability to effectively manage a Pastoral Care Group (PCG).
- The ability to work collaboratively to build rapport with students, parents and all College employees to develop respectful, inclusive and positive working relationships.

- A sound understanding of WA curriculum.
- Experience in writing and delivering differentiated programs in Media.
- The willingness and adaptability to apply new technologies and innovations to enhance student learning.
- The willingness to teach as part of an Arts team that goes above and beyond for each other and the students. This may involve assisting with extra‑curricular activities, clubs, competitions or lunchtime catch‑up sessions.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to a quick‑paced working environment.
- An awareness and appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the College.
- The ability to teach across another learning area would be advantageous.
