With a strong reputation for technical expertise, quality products and customer service, the organisation provides specialist instrumentation solutions across areas including flow, level, pressure, analytical instrumentation, flame and gas detection, overpressure protection, and process monitoring.
About The Position
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Sales / Territory Manager (BDM) to manage and grow an established WA customer portfolio. With an 80/20 focus on existing accounts and new business, you will drive relationships, identify growth opportunities and deliver tailored technical solutions. Based in Welshpool, this highly autonomous role offers flexibility, regular Perth travel and occasional regional travel to Bunbury, Karratha and the Pilbara. Comprehensive product and industry training will be provided, including an initial week in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Identify and convert new business opportunities
- Conduct customer visits and territory planning
- Develop strategies to achieve sales targets
- Provide technical and commercial sales support
- Prepare tailored proposals, quotations and solutions
- Represent industrial instrumentation solutions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Senior Leadership
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline activity
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships
Skills And Experience
- Degree, Diploma or Trade Qualification in Engineering, Instrumentation, Business or a related discipline
- 2+ years experience in technical sales, BDM, account management, engineering or industrial services
- Proven success in account growth and business development
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Sound mechanical and technical aptitude
- Excellent communication, negotiation and commercial skills
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities
- Customer-focused with a solutions-driven approach
- Self-motivated and confident working autonomously
- Current Drivers Licence
