We're looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead testing and commissioning across a diverse portfolio of transmission & distribution, renewables, and transport projects. Reporting to the Head of Construction & Maintenance, you'll sit on the leadership team, own the commissioning strategy and delivery, and lead a team through every stage of project execution.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop the commissioning team to meet project engineering, commissioning, and handover requirements
- Own the commissioning delivery framework, quality documentation (ITPs/ITCs), and safe work practices
- Act as the key point of contact for commissioning programs, budgets, risk mitigation, and status reporting
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders, including AEMO approval processes
- Provide subject-matter expertise to Project Managers and Engineering Managers, and resolve issues as they arise
- Support tenders and bids with technical/commercial input, and help identify new market opportunities
About You
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years' engineering, protection, and commissioning experience across generation, renewables, transmission, and distribution
- Hands-on experience commissioning primary/secondary electrical equipment, SCADA, and communications systems
- Solid working knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Previous experience leading a commissioning or technical team within a multi-functional leadership environment
- Excellent stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and problem-solving skills, with a genuine commitment to HSEQ
