Identity Architect | Microsoft Entra ID & IAM

Lead the strategic design, governance and uplift of enterprise identity and access management architecture across a complex government ICT setting, including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and Zero Trust-aligned identity controls.

Location: Canberra, ACT

Work Arrangement: Onsite, with hybrid working arrangements potentially accepted

Contract Duration: To 30 June 2027, with 1 x 12-month extension option

Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain NV1 clearance

Essential Tasks

- Lead the design, governance and continual improvement of enterprise identity architecture.
- Develop identity roadmaps, standards, reference patterns and architecture decisions.
- Architect identity solutions across Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO, MFA and cloud/on-premise services.
- Provide architectural assurance, technical leadership and advice across identity-related initiatives.

Key Criteria





- Extensive experience designing and governing enterprise identity and access management architecture.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, federation, SSO, MFA and identity integration.
- Deep knowledge of identity lifecycle management, privileged access, RBAC/ABAC and entitlement governance.
- Strong architecture leadership, stakeholder engagement and technology risk management capability.
