Networking Engineer – Defence C4isr

This is a full‑time onsite role based in Canberra, working standard business hours. You'll also participate in an on‑call roster, which includes occasional weekend work.

- Providing Level 3 network support, including installing, configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and software.
- Collaborating with end‑users to resolve networking issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system upgrades.
- Looking for ways to improve network performance and processes.
- Developing technical documentation, including policies, procedures and support guides.
- Collaborating and communicating closely with team members, end users, clients, vendors and stakeholders to deliver reliable network services and support continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

- Active AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
- Cisco certification (CCNA, CCNP or similar) and other networking certifications; ITIL certification is highly regarded.
- Hands‑on experience configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs and NAT.
- Experience with network security technologies, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Technical expertise across Cisco, Palo Alto and Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Experience developing technical documentation, including policies, procedures and support guides.
- A solid understanding of IT infrastructure and IT service management practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively,



with a willingness to share knowledge and support the team.
- Ability to work onsite, participate in an on‑call roster, and occasionally work weekends as required.
