Role Purpose

TheNon-Production Environment Manager is responsible for managing and supportingall testing environments (PTEST, STEST, VTEST) used for development, testing,training, and business-as-usual activities.

The roleensures these environments are:

- Available and stable
- Secure and properly configured
- Ready for testing and deployments
- Quickly restored when issues occur

This personalso coordinates issue triage, manages environment-related risks, and maintainsknowledge of how various applications and systems work together.

RequiredExperience

Technical &Industry; Experience

- Experience working in large and complex organisations.
- Experience in industries such as:
- Postal services
- Logistics
- Transport
- Retail
- eCommerce

Environment &Release; Management

- Strong experience managing enterprise test environments.
- Experience handling software releases and deployments.
- Experience with incident, change, and release management processes.

StakeholderManagement

- Ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Experience facilitating issue triage and problem-solving workshops.

TechnicalSkills

Key Responsibilities

Environment Management

- Ensure all non-production environmentsare available, secure, and fit for purpose.
- Manage and support test environmentsthroughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor setting health,availability, and performance.
- Coordinate workplace setup andconfiguration for projects and testing activities.
- Ensure environments comply with securityand data protection requirements.

Release & Deployment Management





- Plan and coordinate software releasesand deployments.
- Work with application support teams todeploy code with minimal impact to testing.
- Manage release schedules and deploymentplans.
- Communicate deployment timelines andrisks to stakeholders.
- Conduct post-release reviews andidentify improvement opportunities.

Incident & Issue Management

- Lead triage sessions to identify andresolve environment issues.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problemsacross multiple applications.
- Coordinate teams to quickly resolveincidents and defects.
- Ensure clear communication duringoutages and service disruptions.

Vendor & Partner Management

- Work closely with vendors and suppliers.
- Manage vendor support tickets andescalations.
- Partner with vendors to adopt newplatform features and capabilities.
- Coordinate migration activities whererequired.

Continuous Improvement

- Improve environment management processesand governance.
- Enhance monitoring, logging, andreporting capabilities.
- Drive innovation and adoption of newtechnologies.
- Maintain documentation, standards, andbest practices.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as the link between:
- Development teams
- Operations teams
- Quality Assurance (QA) teams
- Business stakeholders
- External vendors

- Provide regular updates on environmentstatus, risks, and releases.
- Build strong working relationshipsacross teams.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

- Create and maintain environmentmanagement documentation.
- Train teams on release and environmentmanagement processes.
- Share lessons learned and bestpractices.
