An exciting opportunityhas become available for a Financial & Management Accountant. Responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial accounting, month-end reporting, statutory compliance and financial analysis that supports the effective operation of Maroochy RSL.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the role maintains the integrity of the Club's financial records,
supports continuous improvement of financial processes and provides high quality financial information to assist decision making. The role also provides operational support and leave coverage across Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, while retaining primary responsibility for financial accounting and reporting.
What you'll do:
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments
- Maintain the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
- Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation
- Prepare cash flow reporting
- Compliance & Governance
- Prepare BAS, PAYG, FBT, Payroll Tax and Superannuation reporting
- Assist with annual financial statements and external audit
- Maintain strong internal controls and finance policies
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legislation
