The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Diesel Fitter with a passion for maintaining heavy mining equipment? Thiess is seeking motivated and safety-focused Diesel Fitters to join our high-performing team at Lake Vermont Mine near Dysart, Queensland.
As a key member of the Lake Vermont Maintenance team, you'll play an important role in supporting safe, reliable and efficient fleet performance through quality maintenance, repairs and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
Roster: 7/7 Even Time (Day & Night Shift) | Location: Lake Vermont Mine, QLD | Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
As the Diesel Fitter, you will
- Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime.
- Complete component change outs while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
About You
- Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or recognised equivalent.
- Post-trade experience within the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
- Experience undertaking maintenance, breakdowns, servicing and component change outs on heavy mining equipment.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
