Job Description
Join our team as a Direct Care Worker - Residential and make a meaningful difference to the lives of residents at Naracoorte Health Service.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and under the supervision of nursing staff, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care and support to residents with their daily needs. This may include personal care, hygiene and grooming, mobility and transfers, continence support, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment, and completing relevant documentation.
You will contribute to resident wellbeing, recognise and report changes or concerns, and support the delivery of safe, respectful and individualised care within Moreton Bay House.

About the Candidate
You are a compassionate, reliable and respectful person who enjoys supporting older people to maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life. You communicate well, work effectively as part of a team and bring a flexible approach to your work, with a genuine commitment to providing safe, kind and person-centred care.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing quality, compassionate and person-centred care that responds to the individual needs of residents.
- Have effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work respectfully with residents, families and people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Be reliable, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and under appropriate supervision.
- Demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality, protected work practices and the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and wellbeing.
- For appointment at the WHD4 level, hold a completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position, together with relevant experience providing direct care within a health-related field.
- A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position.
- A satisfactory NDIS Worker Check is required.
- Appointment is subject to Immunisation Risk Category A - direct contact with blood or body substances requirements.
