Positionavailable:

We are seeking Casual Wharf Attendants to strengthen our existing work team in Geelong.
n
Casual shift positions will include various day, night, weekend shifts and occasional public holidays based on shipping movements and requirements.
n
Primary Responsibilities:
n
Wharf Attendants are responsible for protected monitoring of ship loading and discharging of petroleum and chemical products. Other responsibilities include:
n
Communicate with the vessels and terminal via radio
n
Wharf line walks and safety checks
n
Connect/disconnect loading arm and transfer hoses
n
Complete product sampling and basic product testing
n




Must have a positive attitude
n
Reliable, punctual and able to work with minimal supervision
n
Must be adaptable to work across day shifts, night shifts, weekend shifts and occasional public holiday shifts
n
Valid Australian Driver's License
n
MSIC card (or willingness to obtain)
n
Must have the right to live and work in Australia
n
Be able and willing to work outdoors during adverse weather conditions
n
Fit and able to climb vessel gangways, stairs, ladders, etc.
n
High Risk License such as Forklift or Dogman/Rigger would be an advantage
