We're looking for a qualified Mechanic/Diesel Fitter to join our team onsite at local depot in West Ballina. This is a casual or full time position offering a 40-hour work week, with an hourly rate dependent on experience.
n
Starting ASAP, this is a outstanding prospect for someone looking for a fresh start for the current year and keen to take ownership of maintaining a busy fleet.

About the Role
n
In this role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of our diverse fleet, which includes:
n

Light vehicles such as utes and ATVs
n
Heavy plant and machinery including cranes, telehandlers and generators
n
n
You'll oversee the mechanical upkeep of equipment and ensure all fleet assets are well-maintained and operational.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Repair, assemble, and service light and heavy vehicles, machinery, and mechanical components
n
Inspect machines, engines,



and transmissions and conduct diagnostic tests
n
Carry out mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
n
Maintain accurate service records and reports
n
Manage day-to-day fleet maintenance schedules and requirements
n
n
About You
n
n
Trade qualified Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
n
Proven experience maintaining a variety of plant, machinery and equipment
n
Ability to diagnose faults and work autonomously
n
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
n
Experience with fleet management and maintenance systems
n
Must have a valid driver's licence with a clean driving record (HR licence highly desirable)
n
Must have White Card
n
Hold permanent and unrestricted work rights in Australia.
