A leading software company that provides services to the financial serves industry is seeking an experienced Vmware / Openshift Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is remote and can be based ideally anywhere on the East coast of Australia.

They are looking for someone with solid hands-on depth with OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) for a senior OCP-Virt–focused role looking to deploy OpenShift directly on bare-metal Dell rack servers
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain VMware and OpenShift clusters on-premises.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment.
Work with development teams to optimize applications running on OpenShift.
Create and maintain documentation related to OpenShift configurations and procedures.
Stay updated with the latest OpenShift and Kubernetes features and best practices.
Collaborate with security teams to implement best security practices for containerized applications.
Conversions from VMware to OpenShift
Key Skills / Experience
Baremetal OpenShift with Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization
OpenShift Virtualization/KubeVirt
MTV migration experience
Solid understanding of OpenShift and Kubernetes architecture and components.
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.
Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
Vmware to Openshift migration experience
Knowledge of networking concepts and configurations in a containerized workplace.
OpenShift or Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
