About the role

n

As a Commercial Cleaner with AM Retail Services Pty Ltd, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, secure and welcoming environment at Numurkah Secondary College.

n

Following the award of our new cleaning contract, we are seeking reliable and motivated local cleaners to join our team in Numurkah.

n

This is a part‐time position with work available Monday to Friday. Multiple positions may be available, with individual working hours and roster arrangements to be discussed with successful applicants.

n

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, staff areas and shared learning spaces
n
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and general surface cleaning
n
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets, amenities and change rooms
n
- Emptying bins and managing waste and recycling
n
- Cleaning high-touch surfaces and maintaining hygiene standards
n
- Following site‐specific cleaning schedules and procedures
n
- Safely using cleaning chemicals and equipment
n
- Reporting maintenance, safety or cleaning concerns to management
n
- Maintaining professional standards while working within a school environment
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not essential
n
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
n
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
n
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
n
- Good time management and organisational skills
n
- Ability to follow instructions, cleaning schedules and health and safety procedures
n




- Professional and respectful attitude suitable for working within a school environment
n
- Physically capable of performing the manual requirements of the role
n

n

Training and site‐specific induction will be provided to suitable applicants.

n

Compliance requirements

As this position is within a Victorian school setting, successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain:

n

n
- Current Working with Children Check – Employee
n
- Current National Police Check
n
- Valid Australian working rights
n
- Any other required school and AM Retail Services compliance documentation
n

n

Applicants who do not currently hold a Police Check or Working with Children Check are still encouraged to apply, provided they are willing and eligible to obtain the required checks prior to commencement.
