About the role

n

As a Canine Stylist, you'll provide professional grooming services in accordance with the Stylin' Dogs grooming framework, salon standards and welfare procedures.

n

Your role will include:

n

n
- Performing professional grooming services across common coat types
n
- Completing snout-to-tail assessments for each appointment
n
- Coat preparation, clipping, scissoring and finishing
n
- Selecting appropriate coat lengths and services within salon guidelines
n
- Using calm, appropriate handling techniques and prioritising animal welfare
n
- Recognising and escalating complex matting, behavioural or health concerns
n
- Communicating professionally with clients at check-in and handover
n




- Providing appropriate coat-care recommendations
n
- Maintaining accurate grooming notes and required photo documentation
n
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workstation
n
- Working collaboratively as part of the wider Stylin' Dogs team
n

n

The position is a skilled grooming role working under general supervision, with Senior Groomers and Managers available to support more complex or non-routine matters.

n

About you

n

We're looking for a groomer who combines technical ability with professionalism, care and a genuine love of the craft.

n

Ideally, you'll have:

n

n
- 12–18+ months' experience in a professional grooming environment
n
- Confidence completing routine grooming services across common coat types
n
- Sound coat preparation, clipper and scissor skills
n
- Formal grooming certification or structured practical training is desirable
n
- An understanding of animal welfare and safe handling practices
n
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality
n
- Strong communication and client-service skills
n
- A professional, reliable and team-focused attitude
n
- A willingness to continue learning and developing your skills
n
