Job Description
We have partnered with a well established Australian manufacturing business to recruit a Manufacturing Technician for an initial 6-week temporary assignment, with the possibility of extension.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on work, has experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment, and takes pride in producing high-quality work safely and efficiently.

The Opportunity
n
Working as part of a close-knit production team, you'll support a range of manufacturing activities, including machining preparation, quality inspection, workshop operations and general production support.
n
This is a practical, physically active role where attention to detail, safety awareness and a strong work ethic are highly valued.
n
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm (flexibility available)
n Pay Rate: $38.50 - $40 per hour + Super
n Duration: Initial 6 week contract with potential for extension
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
n
- Deburr, mark, drill and tap CNC-machined components
n
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications
n
- Maintain quality standards throughout the production process
n
- Report maintenance or equipment issues as required
n
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
n
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop workplace
n
- Work collaboratively with production and workshop personnel
n
- Perform manual handling duties and general workshop tasks as required
n
n
About You
n
n
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or workshop environment
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
n
- A proactive, team-focused attitude
n
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
n
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Physical capability to undertake manual handling tasks when required
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
- CNC machine operation or setup experience
n
- Experience measuring and laying out materials
n
- Exposure to aluminium component manufacturing
n
- Use of precision measuring equipment
n
- Experience checking finished components against engineering drawings
n
- Forklift licence or forklift awareness
n
- Mechanical or technical trade background
n
n
