About the Role
n
We are currently seeking an experienced Passive Fire Technician to join a growing and established fire protection business in Sydney.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician looking to build a long-term career within the passive fire industry, working across a variety of commercial, industrial and high-rise projects.
n
You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing and installing passive fire protection systems, ensuring all works are completed to Australian Standards, project specifications and relevant compliance requirements.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Install, inspect, maintain and repair passive fire protection systems.
n
- Carry out passive fire inspections and identify defects or areas requiring rectification.
n
- Complete fire stopping works including penetration sealing, fire collars, fire-rated sealants and other passive fire systems.
n
- Conduct fire door inspections, repairs and maintenance where required.
n
- Complete remedial and rectification works across commercial and industrial sites.
n
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
n
- Ensure all works comply with relevant Australian Standards, manufacturers' specifications and project requirements.
n
- Complete service reports, inspection documentation and photographic records accurately.
n
- Liaise professionally with clients, builders,
site managers and other contractors.
n
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and customer service.
n
- Work independently and as part of a wider team.
n
n
About You
n
n
- Previous experience working within the passive fire protection industry.
n
- Knowledge of passive fire systems, fire stopping and fire-rated construction.
n
- Experience with fire doors, penetrations, fire collars and fire-rated sealants is highly regarded.
n
- Solid understanding of Australian Standards and passive fire compliance requirements.
n
- Ability to read plans and technical documentation.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and a solid focus on quality.
n
- Good communication and customer service skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs.
n
- Full Australian driver's licence.
n
- White Card.
n
- Relevant passive fire qualifications or training would be highly regarded.
n
