Kinross Inn Motel is seeking an experienced and reliable Motel Manager to join our team in Cooma, NSW.

n

The successful applicant will manage the day-to-day operations of the motel, including guest services, front office, reservations, housekeeping coordination, staff supervision, operational reporting, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Salary: $78,000 – $82,000 per annum + superannuation

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Manage daily motel operations including front office, reservations, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
n
- Supervise, train, roster, and support motel employees.
n
- Manage guest enquiries, check-ins, complaints, and customer service standards.
n
- Monitor occupancy, room availability, pricing strategies, and revenue performance.
n
- Manage online bookings, OTA platforms, and reservation systems.
n
- Coordinate housekeeping, maintenance, security, and property presentation standards.
n
- Manage purchasing, stock control, payroll-related administration, and operational expenses.
n
- Prepare operational reports and monitor financial performance against budgets.
n




- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and hospitality industry standards.
n
- Maintain effective relationships with suppliers, contractors, guests, and business stakeholders.
n

Skills and Experience Required

n

Applicants must have:

n

n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in motel, hotel, accommodation management, or a similar hospitality management role.
n
- Demonstrated experience managing day-to-day accommodation operations.
n
- Strong knowledge of front office operations, reservations, and guest service management.
n
- Experience using Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera Cloud, RMS, GuestPoint, Siteminder or similar systems.
n
- Experience managing OTA platforms and online booking channels.
n
- Ability to lead, train, and supervise hospitality staff.
n
- Understanding of budgeting, cost control, purchasing, and operational reporting.
n
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a busy accommodation environment.
n
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety and hospitality compliance requirements.
n

Desirable Qualifications

n

n
- Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Business Management, or related discipline.
n
- Experience managing regional motel operations.
n
- Knowledge of Australian accommodation industry practices.
